In Art 1, you will experience ample opportunity to explore and extend your artistic and creative capacity.  You can look forward to an environment where there are multiple answers to single questions, where diversity of thought makes us stronger and more compelling, creativity is a skill that can be practiced and strengthened, and risk taking is encouraged, and you will be expected to model a solid and independent work ethic.

I love the way that each and every day I am surprised by something new, creative, and striking that a student creates.  I love the look in an artists face when they are completely engrossed.  I love that my subject area is non-linear, creative, and that there are no right or wrong answers.  I believe that it is more important than ever to support non-linear, out of the box, creative thinking.  These are career and life skills for the future.
